When she received the ownership documents in the mail, it had been... curious, to say the least. She hadn't known anything about a garage prior to this. She definitely didn't purchase any property or submit any licenses, and yet when she checks in at the appropriate offices, indeed it's her name on the lease.

Interesting.

The Down is hard for her to navigate safely, not because she can't take care of herself in dangerous situations, but because she's well known as a SIN guard by the local gangs even when she's out of uniform. She hasn't had much reason to come down here without other guards lately though, not since Carver disappeared, so it hasn't been a problem until now. Today, she makes time.

She's there, dressed casually and functionally in an oversized hoodie she can pull over her face mostly even if it's not right now, sorting through the desk such as it is, muttering to herself and trying to arrange the disproportionate amount of paperwork she keeps finding stuffed in various places into something that makes sense.

It hasn't been all that often that James has run into Daryl, since he started working at the garage. It's more common for him to be there on his own than with the other man, so when days go by without seeing him, he doesn't think much of it.

Well, maybe he's starting to think about checking on that, when he comes into the garage and hears noise coming from inside. He fully expects to find Daryl there, so he's both surprised and immediately suspicious when he finds a complete stranger there instead, going through the mostly ignored paperwork.

It's rhetorical. What he's actually asking is: who the fuck are you?
